Introduction of Eco Club at 3A Classroom

Eco Club Malaysia (ECM) takes its name from “ecology”, a name coined by German zoologist Ernst Haekel, who applied the term oekologie to the “relation of the animal both to its organic as well as its inorganic environment. Established on November 20, 2015, the organization aspires to lead the younger millennial generations towards the Green Era of sustainable developments. ECM provides training to produce GREEN MASTERS to lead our Eco Rangers into a new generation of environment protectors as today’s quality of life should be within a sustainable environment.

Despite its year-long operations, ECM was only recently introduced officially to the staff and students of KAGC College as ECM slowly solidified itself as an organisation. The introduction took place within KAGC itself, using the 3A classroom as a presentation venue.

ECM was introduced as a non-government organisation (NGO) that is also a body of KAGC. Individuals and community groups affiliated with Eco Club Malaysia relentlessly seeks out to find, plan and promote community activities that supports a healthy and sustainable environment. Eco Club Malaysia is very passionate about sustainable event planning in order to continue its efforts for a greener future towards the Green Era. We aim to create a social cohesion while beautifying cities through tree planting, community-led designs, education and training initiatives within urban areas that requires them the most.

Bound to the idea of environment protection and disseminating knowledge on sustainability, Eco Club Malaysia moves forward into accepting and adopt strategies from various sustainability concepts with strong bio- and eco-centric position. We indulge into such opportunities to dive into eco-conscious projects – such as permaculture, urban garden and restoration projects.
