Piloting The Green Technology Movement

KAGC, along with Eco Club Malaysia as the advisor were invited by Wan Shuib, education officer of PPD Hulu Langat to attend a few schools within the PPD’s district to kickstart a trend of having a green project within the school to be a setting example to their students.

SMK Batu Jalan 3 were highly enthusiastic on starting an aquaponic project in their abandoned field while at the same time raising deers or goats in the same location – which will combine the efforts of the teachers and students to create such opportunity.

Meanwhile in Kajang Utama, the entrance to the school was laden with an eye-catching bamboo structure, and that the teachers within the school were already starting an urban farming project of herbal plants, which the teachers used such garden to further educate their students beyond the textbooks.

In the meantime, SMK Bandar Rinching expressed their interests in starting an earthship project in their school to promote about sustainable building.

As schools head on towards the green movement, the goals of KAGC and ECM towards sustainable future is slowly becoming.
