Secret Santa

The KAGC lobby was dressed head to toe; there were snowflakes cut out of recycled paper dangling from the ceilings and a quirky white Christmas tree sprayed in green snow spray. Along with the conventional Christmas tree decorations were also mannequins. From a distance the mannequins seem ordinary, donning an extravagant and lavish outfit, but up close one can see that the outfit is actually a collage made from ordinary office materials. Christmas activities went beyond just decorations, the traditional Christmas game Secret Santa was also in play. Secret Santa is Christmas tradition in which members of a group or community are randomly assigned a person to whom they give a gift. The identity of the gift giver is a secret not to be revealed. The Santa, Mark a lecturer at KAGC, distributed the gifts along with the help of Kevin. This Secret Santa came with a twist. Instead of passing off the presents, the receiver would have to guess the secret password from their teammate in order to earn the special present. With only one clue, and three chances the person would have to go to the next round if they didn’t guess right to claim the prize. Wearing Santa hats and humming Christmas jingles, there was a lot of warmth and laughter during this years celebrations. A perfect send off and welcome to the New Year.

Merry Christmas!
